The lymph system in our body assists many immunological functions that take place in our body. It is an open-ended system that begins just beneath the surface of our skin and extends through the body extracting/filtering cellular debris from all parts of our body. Seasonal cleansing of this bodily purification system has been known to reduce dis-ease in our body and expedite the healing process. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is the treatment used to address several Pre/Post Surgical procedures, Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Dermatological and Ear, Nose & throat conditions. Other indications for this treatment are fibromyalgia, Epstein-Barr Syndrome and chronic fatigue symptoms.A series of four sessions is recommended in order to address the entire body and to insure a complete lymphatic system detoxification.

Lymphedema Therapy (Prescription required)

For Primary or Secondary Lymphedemas we offer a nine-part lymphedema treatment program consisting of Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT), compression garments for maintenance and nutritional counseling.

The CDT phase of this Gold Standard Treatment for Primary or Secondary Lymphedema includes; Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) Meticulous Skin Care & Hygiene, Compression Bandaging, Remedial Exercises executed by a LANA Nationally Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercises.

After the edema has been reduced, the maintenance phase begins with the daily use of compression garments fitted by our staff certified garment fitter. Our Nutritional Counseling and Weight Control phase is suggested as part of the CDT phase. This phase addresses past/present health related issues, medicinal concerns and food diary.

With ten years of experience, our therapist’s are nationally certified by the Lympholgy Association of North America (LANA), we are a Sponsor of the National Lymphedema Network following their Code of Ethics for treatment, and are certified in the Vodder and Chikly lymph drainage techniques.
